Even at stop signs and stoplights, it’s important to remain an attentive driver.
A recent AAA study shows that people are distracted up to 27 seconds after they finish sending a text. When you look up from texting and see traffic moving, you are likely to move instinctively, but it may not be safe to do so. You may feel like you are missing out, but cellphones should never be used while a vehicle is in motion.
You should park your car in a safe location before you adjust or look at your phone. Having two hands on the wheel at all times and your head “in-the-game” will keep you a responsible and safe driver!
